The January /February 2012 issue of the Field Journal  features a local producer spotlight on TableTop Farm located in Nevada, IA. In addition, our Wellness Manager Lea introduces her top 12 wellness products for 2012, an editorial focuses on Michael Pollan's three food rules, there is a Co-op Kid's Club activity, a couple great recipes and more.


The Wheatsfield Field Journal allows the staff at the co-op a way to communicate and inform members about important co-op news, offer food and health related educational articles and allow members a venue to communicate with other members. In each issue we visit and/or interview a local producer and write a full length article on their operation to help connect you with your local food system. The Field Journal is mailed out to members, e-mailed to our list serve, available in the store and around town. We began publishing the Field Journal in September of 2010, back issues can be found at the link to the left.


We offer advertising space for local businesses. If you are interested in advertising in the Field Journal  contact us by calling or e-mailing the store. The United Nations has designated 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives to recognize the power of cooperatives to promote economic and social development and their work in eradicating poverty. Stronger together has developed a video series celebrating 2012 International Year of Cooperatives that is hosted by celebrity chef Kevin Gillespie.
