Bent River Brewing Company was founded in 1997 with a passion for perfecting a handcrafted beer that would capture the true spirit of traditional brewing and to replicate that spirit with unwavering consistency. A stones throw from being local, the brewery is located in Moline, IL, along the banks of the Mississippi River in the heart of Moline's historic district.

We currently carry two of their brews. Uncommon Stout, their top selling beer, is a rich oatmeal stout infused with some of the country's best coffee. Mississippi Blonde, a 2007 GABF Bronze Medal winner, is a very refreshing, light bodied, golden colored ale.

Susan Fink, founder of Karma Kombucha, followed her interest in food and all things culinary to the University of Wisconsin where she majored in Food Science. This led to a career working on healthy initiatives, and one assignment that introduced her to kombucha. After trying kombucha for the first time, she became hooked! This developed into a scientific study which fueled her inquisitive nature and brewing kombucha quickly became a passion. Many experiments later, the batches became bigger and bigger and soon she was brewing 30 gallons at once. After a life change, Karma Kombucha became a reality in March 2011.

Today, she is craft brewing in the centuries-old traditional style to produce high quality, great-tasting, authentic kombucha. The brew is 100% organic and the tea blends and sugar are sourced from fair trade certified producers. Looking for another way to sell his aquaponic-grown basil during the winter, Kevin Hassevoort of Hassevoort Farms (Leon, IA), decided to start experimenting with pesto recipes. What he came up with is a simple no-filler recipe for pesto at its finest - basil, garlic, olive oil, pine nuts, Parmesan, salt and pepper combine to create the freshest pesto around.
