Wheatsfield is the place for those that suffer from gluten intolerance. Whether you are shopping for a friend or were recently diagnosed with a gluten intolerance, we making shopping for these products easier and satisfying. Gluten-Free products throughout the store are labeled with a "Gluten Free" shelf tag (pictured above). As a product's ingredients can change, make sure to double check the labels. Here is a handy guide listing our Gluten Free products (updated November 2011). Not all gluten-free items at the co-op are listed, just those products that are normally made with wheat.

Shopping bulk? If you have a severe allergy this might not be the section for you. While we maintain high standards for preventing cross contamination, we cannot guarantee that all bulk products are completely wheat free.

Gluten-free in the deli? Wheatsfield's Deli makes a variety of dishes without wheat. Look for the gluten-free marker on the ingredient card or ask the staff member behind the deli case for the ingredients. Although we do not have a certified gluten-free kitchen, our deli chefs and baker take extra precautions when preparing gluten-free items.
