Many long time shoppers and co-op knowledge buffs will know that the bulk department is where many co-ops started. Wheatsfield, created as a buying club in 1974, is no different. Today our bulk section offers over 400 items including; nuts, grains, pastas, cereals, granolas, beans, seeds, nut butters, coffee... the list goes on. We even stock bulk liquids including maple syrup, local honey, oils, soaps, shampoo and laundry detergent.

At the co-op we love the bulk aisle for your freedom to purchase pounds of a product or as little as a pinch. We also love how you can help keep plastic out of the landfill one purchase at a time. We encourage you to bring in your own containers to refill over and over again. Just have your container weighed at the registers before filling.

Never used bulk before? We're happy to answer any question you may have about the products or offer samples for you to try. Just ask!

Bulk Spices, Herb, and Teas

This section offers over 100 options, many products from Frontier Natural Products Co-op located in Norway, IA. Buying herbs and spices in bulk allows you to purchase smaller or larger amounts to suit your needs, keeping your spice cabinet well stocked and your dishes enhanced with the freshest spices. You also get to try that new dish without committing to a full jar of an herb or a spice that you might not use again. It's recommended, for the freshest spices and fullest flavors, to replenish your spices every six months.
