Sutliff Cider Company is located close to the historic Cedar River crossing at Sutliff and derives its name from this small, unincorporated town. The town is best known for its old trestle bridge and the cider the company produces. Currently, their hard cider is considered one of of the 30 best in the world and only one of four American ciders to make RateBeer.com's Best Cider in the World rankings.

The cider is produced in two historic farm buildings. In July 2008, they opened a tasting room on the ground level of their 120 year old barn (pictured above). Their ciders contain 100% fresh squeezed juices using a combination of table apples that include Jonathan, Gala, Cortland, Macintosh and more. The apples are grown on surrounding local orchards and on a small orchard on the property. In addition to preserving the history of the buildings the cider is produced in, they use an old style rack and cloth press which they believe allows for the exceptional taste and freshness the cider is known for.
