Miles to the Co-op: 142.3

Hub City Brewing Company is located five miles east of the historic town of Oelwein, Iowa. The town served as a hub for three major branches of the Chicago Great Western Railway, earning it the nickname of "Hub City". The brewery's beers pay homage to this historic Iowa town and the romantic era of the railroads.

The brewery started in 2004 when Brian Knoke was gifted a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas from his sons. They thought it would be an amusing gift. Soon, Hub City Brewing materialized from a barn and hog shed on the family's property and turned into a full family effort. They are currently producing eight brews, including seasonal varieties.
